August 2010 - Academy Update

Academy Olympics - May 16th

We will be having a lot of fun on Sunday with the Academy Olympics, so come on time and come ready to play. This will be the final Academy session for 2010. Please have the kids wear their Academy jerseys. We will be taking a few group photos.

ALSO THERE IS A TIME CHANGE THIS WEEK DUE TO A GAME ON THE PSU YORK FIELD

Boys - 12:30 to 2:00

Girls - 2:15 to 3:45

May 7th Training Session

Our training session this week will be on the small field at PSU York. We will be playing a special Dutch format tournament, so be on time and ready to play!

Boys - 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Girls - 2:45pm to 4:00pm

May 2nd Training Session

The temperature will be in the mid-80’s so remember to bring water!

April 25th Training Session

We will be training outdoors ( on the small field ) at PSU York this week.

Boys 1:00 to 2:30pm

Girls 2:45 to 4:00pm

The forecast is calling for rain showers. If there are heavy rain storms or thunderstorms, we will post an update on Sunday the 25th prior to 12pm. If it is just light rain showers, we will be training.

April 18th Training Session

WE WILL BE TRAINING OUTDOORS ON THE GRASS THIS SUNDAY.

Training will be on the small field at PSU York where we conducted tryouts.
Please wear the appropriate gear.

Boys - 1:00 to 2:30pm

Girls - 2:45 to 4:00pm

Hope to see everyone. It should be a fun session since we finally have space and goals!

April 11th Training Session

We will be training at PSU York gym this Sunday. Please be prepared for the gym or outdoor tennis courts.

Boys 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Girls 2:45pm to 4:00pm

U-10 Coaching Announcement

Hello Everyone -

Matt Herrington has been named the Head Coach for the U-10 Boys team. Matt has done a terrific job with the FC York U-15 Elite team over the last few years. Matt comes with a lot of experience and will be a great coach for the boys.

Linda Moeller and her daughter Kate will be coaching the U-10 Girls team. Linda comes from Mason Dixon soccer club and has 5+ years experience working with youth players. Kate played for York United and Susquehannock before moving onto the collegiate level.

*Both Matt and Linda will be at the Academy sessions on either April 11th or 18th to answer questions and introduce themselves prior to tryouts for the U-10 teams.

FC York Tryout update

Please see below from an FC York email regarding tryout registration:

“The online registration system is now up and running. Please forward the information on to your players and let them know that they MUST register ONLINE prior to the tryout date. We will have limited ability to register players at the field on the day of the tryout.”

March 28th Training Session

We will once again be training at PSU York. Training will either be in the gym or on the tennis courts depending on the weather. We have not yet gained clearance to train on the grass fields.

Boys 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Girls 2:45pm to 4:00pm

ALSO, WE WILL NOT HAVE TRAINING ON EASTER SUNDAY DUE TO THE HOLIDAY.

We will resume training on Sunday April 11th, hopefully on the grass fields.
