About the FC York Academy

Since 2004, we have been helping young players in York County develop their skills through the Academy program.  The FC York Academy is affiliated with the FC York soccer club www.fcyork.com.  Our program is for both boys and girls between the ages of seven and nine.  Players born between August 1, 2002 to July 31, 2004 are eligible for our 2012 program.

Academy tryouts occur in November and our program runs from January to May of the following year.  Training occurs once per week either indoors or outdoors at the Penn State York campus.   Please see our "Documents" page for 2012 costs and payment options.

The FC York Academy training is meant to compliment the player's local club team activities.  We do not play in a league as a team or attend tournaments, rather the players participate in once-per-week training sessions that are taught in a simple, fun and progressive manner.  Over the years, approximately 70% of our Academy players have gone on to play premier level soccer at the Under 10 level.
